Look at this online blog that Erik and I made! He thought it would be easier to show you my adventures this way.
Today we had a great time, even though we didn't get to do what we wanted. Erik and I were going to go to the beach, but he had to work.
At first I was really disappointed, but he said, "Nice things are worth waiting for." So we drove down to where he works in Laguna Hills, California.
During Erik's lunch break, we went for a bicycle ride.

Most of the time I rode in Erik's pocket, but he let me ride by myself for a couple minutes. I could only ride downhill, though, because my legs are too short and my feet wouldn't reach the pedals! I was so embarrassed!

Here I am taking a break with a nice bottle of water.

Before Erik had to go back to work, he let me climb a nearby Sycamore tree. They grow all over the state of California.

As I climbed higher in the tree, I could see forever! There are so many rooftops in California! Almost 40 million people live here. That's nine times the population of Wisconsin!

Can you see the mountains behind me? There are a lot of mountain ranges in California. Some of them are taller than 14,000 feet! I'm sure glad the tree didn't go up that high.

After work Erik and I went back home and guess what! It started to rain! They say it never rains in California, but they were wrong! The clouds came in really quickly. What a surprise!
I'll write again soon and tell you all about my visit. Hope you're having a happy weekend!
Your friend,
Flat Stanley

Hi Stanley and Erik!
It looks like you are having a lot of fun! You can stay and visit as long as you want - Mrs Hernday said there is no rush to get home. (but of course, you are always welcome here too!)
Thanks for the update on your travels!
